Job Description

  • Keeps current on evolving and emerging technologies that may involve multi-disciplined intelligence and/or evoke new threats and interfaces with other organizations to maintain situational awareness, stay ahead of future threats and leverage best practices
  • Applies expert knowledge of the nexus between Cyber Counter-Intelligence and other Intelligence operations (i.e., How/ Where/ When Cyber Counter-Intelligence fits in, etc.)
  • Analyzes and synthesizes information with other relevant data sources to develop a common operational picture of criminal and foreign threats to information infrastructure
  • Fuses computer network attack analyses with criminal and counterintelligence investigations and operations, promotes joint operations, and shares best practices with other members of Federal Cybersecurity community.
  • Conversant on various open source and commercial (fee) threat intelligence feeds, advocate and analyze the value of threat intelligence feeds and sources.
  • Effectively communicates technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Identify and develop threat signatures from all available sources
  • Maintain threat indicators within the threat intelligence platform, exposure to/working knowledge of at least one cyber threat analyst platform. (ie ThreatConnect, LookingGlass, Illuminate)
  • Implement and support standard procedures for incident response and cyber hunt.
  • Interface with teams within NCCIC and Incident Response Teams/ Cyber Hunt Teams
  • Participates in special projects as required.

  • This position could be deployed in the field on-site at a DHS customer to support/perform incident response or cyber hunt activities if the need arises.


Additional Requirements:

  • This position could possibly be designated as critical to agency operations and may be required to be deployed as part of an Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) in conjunction with COOP deployment or emergency activation team.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. In addition, must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation for continued employment

Job Requirements

8-10 years of related experience in data security administration.
