Job Description

Sr Cloud Architect/AWS Responsibilities will include architecture design, installation, configuration and support of the organization's local area network Cloud Solution (AWS). 

These responsibilities include:

  • Planning, Designing, & implementing the migration from traditional in-house platforms to the AWS Cloud.
  • Providing support and knowledge of AWS Infrastructure and Services
  • Ensuring access security is maintained while supporting appropriate end-user access and functionality 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 6+ Years’ Experience as a Systems Engineer with 2 years direct experience in AWS
  • Master’s Degree or 2 years Additional Experience
  • Migration from traditional platforms / VMware into AWS
  • Network security – Network ACLs and Security groups
  • Backup/recovery including meeting offsite storage requirement.
  • Machine snapshotting
  • Vertical and horizontal scaling, manual and auto
  • Performance management/monitoring.
  • Storage
  • EC2 Key pair management
  • AWS Identity and Access Management
  • Reporting on expenditures/costs
  • Scripting

DESIRED SKILLS:

 

  • Reporting on expenditures/costs
  • Strong understanding the design, architecture, configuration, and support of critical systems
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Ability to work in a team environment with other engineers and support internal and external customers.
