Job Description

o Analyze user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
o Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities
o Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
o Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
o Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
o Develop system architecture and system design documentation
o Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
o Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
o Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
o Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

Job Requirements


o Skills and Tasks. Moderate - understands and applies more advanced concepts and processes to daily activities. Assists more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities. Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists.
o Individual Work/Teamwork. Works individually and also actively participates on integrated teams.
o Guidance. Requires minimal guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and/or managers. Provides guidance to lower level technicians and specialists.
o Training and Certifications. DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order. Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order.
o Capabilities and additional Requirements. In addition to Standard Characteristics of Labor Category, contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents. Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s). Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components. Coordinate the resolution of action items from configuration control board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination.
o Education and Experience.
 HS/GED + 6 years
 Associates Degree + 4 years
 Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years
 Master’s Degree + 0 years
