Job Description

TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required for this position.

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our Core Services Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) engineering team in support of a several advanced Information Systems (IS) . Position will provide engineering support to multiple geographically dispersed ISs, connected across Wide Area Networks (WAN) and firewalls.  Domain services are hosted in hybrid cloud environments. ADDS services support both Windows and Enterprise Linux desktops, as well as a wide range of AD integrated applications to include File and Print, Exchange, MS SQL, Skype for Business, System Center, and XenDesktop VDI services. Position will serve as a technical lead, interfacing with clients, and mentoring junior engineers.

  1. Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
  2. Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  3. Plans upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.
  4. Develops documentation on new or existing systems.
  5. Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
  6. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
  7. Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
  8. Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  9. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers and may have supervisory responsibility.
  10. May serve as a technical team or task lead.
  11. Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
  12. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  13. Participates in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

10-15 years of related systems engineering experience.

  1. Required skills include:

    1. Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with ADDS
    2. Experience with Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, or 2016 ADDS
    3. Experience with planning ADDS sites, subnets, and site links
    4. Experience planning and troubleshooting ADDS connectivity, replication and Kerberos authentication
    5. Experience with Domain Naming Services (DNS), and implementation of DNS within an ADDS environment
    6. Experience with deploying and troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPO)
    7. Experience implementing technical controls in accordance with industry best practices and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
    8. Experience working in a virtual server environment (e.g. vSphere, AWS, Azure)

    Experience with the following is a plus:

    1. Experience analyzing vulnerabilities using SCAP tools such as SCC or ACAS
    2. Public Key Enablement (PKE), implementing DC certificates , and/or implementing two-factor Smart Card authentication
    3. Consolidating ADDS environments using migration tools such as ADMT
    4. Experience with Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS)
    5. Experience supporting advanced Group Policy management using AGPM
    6. Experience with MS Forefront Identity Manager and/or Microsoft Identity Manager
    7. Experience with Active Directory Rights Management Services (ADRMS)
    8. Experience with MS Dynamic Access Control (DAC)
    9. Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
