Job Description

GDIT is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will cover systems engineering and analysis on various rotor aircraft and products within the U.S. Army’s Multi-National Aviation Special Project Office (MASPO).

Provides fundamental understanding of rotor aircraft dynamics and controls, flight mechanics, aerodynamics and propulsion. Functions as a team player on a highly technical team of multi-disciplined engineers.

Participate as a member of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) ensuring application of airworthiness principles throughout aircraft lifecycle phases. Support various System Safety Working Groups (SSWG).  As necessary participate in accident investigations involving damage to products or related facilities and assists in identification of causes and corrective actions.

Employs strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail. Initiates, works, and coordinates multiple tasks simultaneously.


  • ABET-accredited BS in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years related aircraft experience
  • Experience in flight dynamics, analysis, and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Some travel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Experience in US ARMY program office is desired, to include; PM ASE, PM Cargo, PM Utility, PM Apache.  Fundamental understanding of rotor aircraft dynamics and controls, flight mechanics, aerodynamics and propulsion is a plus.

Experience with AH-6i, MD 530, Bell 429, Huey II, Bell 407 and UH-60 variant aircraft highly desired.

A SECRET clearance is required for this position.
