Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking an Area Processing Center Administrator at Wright Patterson AFB, OH to support the IAFNOS contract, which supports the 690th Cyberspace Operations Group performing 24/7/365 Air Force Information Network (AFIN) operations, including defensive cyberspace operations (DCO), network management, information assurance, and fault resolution activities to maintain the operational capabilities of the network, establish the domain for AF cyberspace operations, and ensure AF cyberspace superiority. 

Responsibilities include:

- Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.

- Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.

- Installs and configures network hardware and software.

- Provides network troubleshooting and support.

- Provides technical support and training to end-users.

- Administers network security.

- Backs up file server data/disks.

- Provides minor to moderately complex server maintenance.

- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

- Participates in special projects as required.

- Provide facility management services and touch maintenance services for all servers and equipment managed by 690 COG organizations at the APC locations.

- Responsible for monitoring the Area Processing Center for network, server, operating system problems. Provide the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals). Monitor and controls the performance and status of the network resources.


- Current 8570 IAT II Level Certification (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+ CE, SSCP) or higher

- Additional industry certifications may be required within specific time frames.

Current Secret security clearance or higher, or be eligible for and obtain prior to starting work

Job Requirements

0-1 year of directly related experience supporting network operations.
