Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Software Business Analyst  to join our team supporting a newly developed solution being prototyped for our Department of Commerce customer in the Washington DC area. The Business Analyst will be required to meet with stakeholders to gather requirements as well as understand and apply the technologies that meet those requirements. As the liaison between the business and technical teams and translates both business and technical needs into requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria and provide additional analysis and test coverage as needed.

Job Requirements

Serves as a liaison between the internal business community and the IT organization in order to provide help and guidance to end users that experience problems.

Participates in the tracking and management of open issues and assists in planning for resolution.

Maintain communications with technical counterparts and end users as progress is made on problem resolution.

Reviews, edits, analyze and create detailed documentation of systems and user needs.

Responsible for writing specification, planning and traceability documentation in clear and well-organized manner.

Produce meeting minutes from design meetings, demonstrations to stakeholders, and routine status meetings.  

Provide guidance and coordinate for development activities and analyzes user needs to determine requirements.
Conduct delivery demonstrations to stakeholders & review stakeholder testing issues, coordinate corrections with development team
Participates in the development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs.
Identifies and recommends emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures and training materials.
Manage all documentation for tasks (i.e. design, user guides, technical)
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
Participates in special projects as required.
