Job Description

Oversees configuration management support for assigned projects or departments. 

  1. Oversees the analysis of complex engineering change proposals to determine the effect on the overall system.
  2. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates.
  3. Monitors subcontractors and vendors to ensure that the applications of military standards and requirements for the statement of work are properly implemented.
  4. Oversees design reviews, audits, scheduling, budgeting, etc.
  5. Oversees the development and implementation of computer based configuration/data management systems and related support.
  6. Works with other network professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes
  7. Makes recommendations for CM efficiencies/improvements based on personal observation and knowledge/experience with IT industry best practices.

  9. Tracks and prepares configuration management reports as required.
  10. Participates in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

8+ years of related configuration management experience.

Experience with ITIL Configuration Management (ITSM) practices or similar ANSI/ISO standards.


ITILv3 certification at Foundation level preferred

Security+ preferred
