Job Description

Individual will assist the CJENG with initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing individual

projects. Directly supports the Operational Contracting Support (OCS) office in tracking and following

up on contract statuses with J8 and J4 entities. Helps execute business processes for associated

paper work and assists with gathering and maintaining them electronically on the TAAC- Air Share

Drive and contracting software system, to include maintaining an electronic file system IAW with

USFOR-A and TAAC-Air Knowledge Management directives. Coordinates modification orders with

appropriate entities and stakeholders; and assists with answering technical questions related to

contracting from Requiring Activities per the MAAWS-A policy. Helps troubleshoot contracting issues

between the Requiring Activity and other contracting support entities, and stakeholders; and helps to

work thru contracting problems as required. Attends and participates in working groups and meetings

as required. Prepares, and distributes printed and electronic information to stakeholders. Conducts

staff assistance visits to TAAC-Air entities as requested. As required, generates for TAAC- Air HQ

reports on contracting, civil engineering, communication, and other related areas to meet TAAC-Air

mission requirements. Monitors overall progress and use of materials. Under guidance of the CJENG,

initiates corrective actions as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of US contract law and industry best practices as defined by the

National Association of State Auditors, comptrollers and Treasurers (NASACT.org).

  • Thorough understanding of project management processes and procedures defined in the

Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and MAAWS-A. Able to apply knowledge, skills, tools,

and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of government contracting experience or five (5) years of private

sector contracting experience. Substitution of one (1) year of experience with higher level

education or equivalent in project management.

  • Experience with MS Office, demonstrated ability to operate various contracting enterprise

systems; and demonstrated experience in liaising with various stakeholders.

  • Able to be highly organized and detail oriented, communicate across various mediums with

stakeholders in a logical and professional fashion, and deliver quality, error free products

associated with contracting processes.

  • Ability to manage available resources in time sensitive situations.
