We are seeking a Curriculum Developer – Social Service Focused Trainings:

Job Description:

  • Designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements and learning objectives.
  • Conducts analysis of training and delivery method requirements.
  • Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials.
  • Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.
  • Designs and develops computer based training, web-based training, and other learning solutions.
  • Designs instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery methods, demonstrated through flow diagrams and storyboards.
  • Develops project plans and tracks materials and program delivery.
  • Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content and identify training opportunities.
  • Provides support for trainer knowledge and skill development.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Coordinates with Program Director and program staff to develop training materials and evaluation tools, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

The training program provides online and classroom based training courses to staff working at various locations nationwide in social service, residential settings. Duties include design and implementation of targeted technical assistance. The Curriculum Developer must have a strong understanding of how to design, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive trainings for the myriad of people who work at the sites. In addition, the Curriculum Developer will develop, direct, and prepare trainers for delivery of trainings. The Curriculum Developer will plan and accomplish production of all instructional materials, as well as identify the relationship between training deficiencies and training system modification requirements. Responsibilities include writing training materials, including tasks, learning objectives, format, organization, content, lesson maps, instructional strategies, methodologies, learning events and activities, test items, interface design and controls for Interactive Multi-Media products. This also may involve developing video and audio scripts, storyboards, graphics, data files, lesson plans, on-the-job training handbooks, and student materials. The Curriculum Developer will create evaluation tools to assess learners' previous learning levels and develop testing plans, test administrator's guide(s), and a cross reference list of test items and related learning objectives. After a training assignment, he/she will assist in formative and summative evaluations and in applying the findings for improving training and instruction.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • 5-8 years of related instructional development experience.

Unique/Additional Requirements

  • Clean FBI fingerprint, Child Abuse and Neglect (C/AN) and/or child protective services check required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Google tools.
  • Experience working with diverse user groups and rapidly changing requirements content.
