Job Description

Applications/tools

Required:

  • SharePoint 2013 (developing out of the box (OOB) and customized SP 2013 site collections)
  • SharePoint Designer 2010 and 2013 (building customized 2010 and 2013 Designer Workflows)
  • Joomia (will be used heavily for new OED/TAD requirement)
  • SharePoint Rest API; (knowledge of this service to interact remotely with SharePoint data by using Rest web requests)

Desired:

  • SQL Report Builder (used to produce some canned reports in OED/Logistics Storefront site)
  • Lotus Notes/Domino (used to perform O&M on Lotus Notes databases)
  • Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator (either of these can be used to create images, graphics for sites, etc.)
  • Talkabout (easy to pick up; we use this application for the OED/Logistics Storefront and OED/NFS sites)
  • MS Access (a good tool to know in migrating data in/out of SharePoint)

Scripting Languages:

Required:

  • JavaScript (used in correlation with SharePoint to do custom actions)
  • JQuery (used in correlation with SharePoint to do customer actions)
  • Cascading Style Sheets (CS) (not really a language, but mechanism to create styling/aesthetics for all the web applications we use).
  • PowerShell (used to support some customizations that have been put in place)
  • HTML (this is what all code is read as on webpages)

Desired:

  • PHP or other scripting languages (PHP is being used for part of the OED/TAD requirement)
  • Bootstrap (framework that includes templates for HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Angular (JavaScript-based front-end framework)

1. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.

2. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.

3. Sets up administrator and service accounts.

4. Maintains system documentation

5. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.

6. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.

7. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

8. May program in an administrative language.

9. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.

10. Provides advice and training to end-users.

11. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

12. May serve as a technical team or task leader.

13. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

14. Participates in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

8-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
