We are seeking a Documentation Manager:

  • Manages the preparation and editing of operation and maintenance manuals and related technical documentation. 
  • Directly, or through subordinate supervisors, manages the research, preparation and editing of operation and maintenance manuals and related technical documentation. 
  • Supervises assigned technical documentation staff, including non-exempt Technical Writers. 
  • Ensures documents prepared firsthand and by subordinates meet editorial and customer specifications and adhere to standards for quality, graphics, format, and style. 
  • Research, prepare and edit complex technical documents for publication, including user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. 
  • Oversees the creation of original digital and multi-media technical materials. 
  • Assist the PM with the planning, conduct, and follow-up for technical conferences/programs. 
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 
  • Assiste the PM in managing the customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance monitoring and reporting metrics.  Strong project schedule and project metrics. 
  • Works proactively to foster a team-oriented approach to applying resources and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Has the potential to become a team lead position.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • 8-10 years of related experience managing the preparation and editing of technical documentation and leading teams to exceed performance standards. 
  • MS Office proficieny required. 
  • Project management background is very helpful. 
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) support background is very helpful. 
  • Desire and ability for hands-on team and technical leadership very desireable.  

Preferred experience with:

  • Visio
  • SharePoint
  • Adobe
  • MS Project:
