Job Description

GDIT is looking for a highly cleared machinist to join our team in Washington, D.C.

  • This machinist will work directly with customers to plan, design, develop, manufacture, repair, and rebuild parts and items of equipment from raw stock of different metals and metal alloys.
  • Additionally, the machinist will setup, operate, and maintain a variety of machining tools to include CNC, mills, lathes, shapers, and grinders to produce precision pieces that conform to generated or provided specifications.
  • The machinist will use knowledge of shop mathematics, material properties, and manufacturing procedures to act as subject matter expert within the shop.
  • Machinist will produce documentation, engineering sketches, and conduct hands on training with team members as needed to ensure compliance to established standards.
  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) experience a plus.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS, 2+ years experience
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required with eligibility for Yankee White.
