GDIT is looking for a highly cleared carpenter to join our team in Washington, D.C.

Jo Description

  • Applies research to the planning, design, development, manufacturing, repair, and rebuilding of mechanical systems and other equipment as needed from raw stock of materials including wood stock and wood substitutes.
  • Work directly with customers to plan, design, develop, manufacture, repair, and rebuild precision parts and furniture from raw materials including wood stock and wood substitutes.
  • Setup, operate, and maintain a variety of wood working tools to include saws, lathes, jointers, routers, and CNC.
  • Verify dimensions and check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to generated or customer provided specifications.
  • Produce documentation, engineering sketches, and conduct hands on training with team members as needed to ensure compliance to established standards. 


  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) experience a plus.
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS, 2+ years experience.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required with eligibility for Yankee White.
