Job Description

GDIT is seeking an Information Technology Analyst to support one of our new programs. The successful candidate will develop computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with company/customer system architecture standards. Task associated with this position include:

  • Professional experience in software development, including design, development, and implementation of enterprise level applications with a focus in Microsoft .NET technologies.

  • Work directly with the EUCOM Knowledge Management Office to provide technical solutions for knowledge management initiatives and policies.

  • Develop and implement Share Portal-based application.

  • Serve as an administrator for SharePoint Portals on multiple networks, and maintain permissions policies.

  • Provide Knowledge Management training.

  • Provide technical guidance for all SharePoint portal development projects, including best practices and standards.

  • Develop crisis action portal pages and train and support training audiences on SharePoint portal technologies during EUCOM exercises.

  • Responsible for development of custom coded solutions for customers.

  • Design SharePoint sites for use by the clients and user community.

  • Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and designs computer systems to process data.

  • Analyzes systems and procedures to refine their formulation and converts them to programmable formats.
  • Codes applications and tests to software requirements.
  • Analyzes detail systems factors; including input and output requirements; information flow; hardware and software requirements; and reliability characteristics.
  • Writes or updates software specifications.
  • Records all inputs and outputs of systems; including file sizes; data bank requirements; variability of information and appropriate statistical measures such as frequency; volume; peaking; etc.
  • Prepares and updates documentation for new or existing systems.
  • Troubleshoots and provides technical support and solutions to users.
  • Monitors system effectiveness in satisfying user needs.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft InfoPath, Microsoft Access are plus.

Job Requirements

2-5 years of directly related computer systems analysis and/or programming experience.

Requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Must have a Polygraph upon start.
