Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking highly motivated technical professionals who are eager to play a major role in IT transformation at Government agencies in the aviation and other transportation fields.

The Lifecycle Asset Manager will perform as follows:

  • Oversees and leads lifecycle asset management tasks, projects, activities and engagements for the program
  • Works with senior program leadership to develop and enhance lifecycle asset management strategy that align with the program’s and customer’s business objectives
  • Analyzes new and complex lifecycle asset management-related problems and creates innovative solutions that address schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management
  • Provides applications systems analysis as well as long and short-range plans for lifecycle asset management related application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities
  • Leads, develops and implements effective procedures and processes for accurately tracking and accounting for IT assets through the asset lifecycle
  • Develops processes and procedures to continually enhance IT asset data integrity and compliance
  • Drives process improvements with Lifecycle Asset Management best practices and automation
  • Develops and presents IT asset management metrics and reports to senior program leadership
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required

Job Requirements


  • 8-10 years of directly related experience leading and managing lifecycle asset management on a large Federal IT Service Delivery/IT Operations program
  • Certification required: PMP or PgMP or DAWIA P/PM Level 3 or FAC P/PM Level III
  • Proven hands-on experience managing IT assets on a large and complex program
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with IT asset licensing methodologies and compliance requirements
  • Strong project management experience
