Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking highly motivated technical professionals who are eager to play a major role in IT transformation at Government agencies in the aviation and other transportation fields.

The IT Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the following:

  • Develops and implements quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, procedures, and SLAs in a large computer-based organization
  • Develops and defines major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determines requisite quality control resources
  • Establishes and maintains a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assist in the evaluation
  • Conducts IT Service Delivery/Operation quality checks
  • Proactively identifies quality issues/gaps and recommends corrective actions
  • Conducts and/or participates in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle
  • Supports SLA, OLA, SOP action item follow-ups as well as technical/program management reviews
  • Ability to quickly interpret performance metrics/threshold requirements as well as non-compliant items/situations, working with the program team to develop resolution steps.
  • Administers problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution.
  • Ensures adequate product testing prior to implementation.
  • Supports Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives across the program that promotes process improvement, efficiency enhancements and pinpoints areas that should be improved
  • Participates in special projects as required

Job Requirements

1) 3 – 5 years of experience performing and supporting as a Quality Assurance Analyst

2) Certification desired: ITILv3 or HDI

3) Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills

4) Strong analytical skills and ability to understand the step-by-step process required to develop and maintain quality service
