Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking highly motivated technical professionals who are eager to play a major role in IT transformation at Government agencies in the aviation and other transportation fields.

The IT Quality Assurance Manager will perform as follows:

  • Reviews IT service delivery support and program deliverable products for compliance with contract instructions and established standards and criteria
  • Manages and coordinates IT quality assurance activities and engagements
  • Establishes Quality Assurance (QA) testing procedures and data preparation
  • Develops and implements software/systems testing standards and procedures and conducts tests
  • Reviews, tests and establishes quality of reported performance metric data
  • Documents and analyzes test results, and makes recommendations to improve overall quality
  • Recommends quality improvements or changes to senior management
  • Develops processes, procedures, and systems and software work products to correct potential deficiencies
  • Makes technical comments and recommendations as needed
  • Coaches the program team in established quality processes and procedures
  • Develops, maintains and continuously updates processes/procedures to effectively review and assess program performance metrics, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), and other program documentation and artifacts.
  • Supports SLA, OLA, SOP action item follow-ups as well as technical/program management reviews
  • Ability to quickly interpret performance metrics/threshold requirements as well as non-compliant items/situations, working with the program team to develop resolution steps.
  • Administers problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution
  • Ensures adequate product testing prior to implementation
  • Initiates, leads and directs Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives across the program that promotes process improvement, efficiency enhancements and pinpoints areas that should be improved
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required

Job Requirements

1) 5 - 8 years of experience leading, managing and performing as a Quality Assurance Manager

2) Certification required: PMP or PgMP or DAWIA P/PM Level 3 or FAC P/PM Level III

3) Certification desired: ITILv3 or HDI

4) Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills

5) Strong analytical skills and ability to understand the step-by-step process required to develop and maintain quality service
