Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking highly motivated technical professionals who are eager to play a major role in IT transformation at Government agencies in the aviation and other transportation fields.

This is a telework position. Onsite support will be required as requested by customer.

The Service Center Technician (Tier 3) must demonstrate very strong interpersonal skills as well as provide excellent customer service.

The Service Center Technician (Tier 3) will perform the following:

  • Analyzes network and computer communications hardware characteristics and recommends equipment procurement, removals, and modifications
  • Adds, deletes, and modifies, as required, host, terminal, and network devices
  • Assists and coordinates with communications network specialists in communication software
  • Analyzes and implements communications standards and protocols per site requirements
  • Implements and administers active directory
  • Implements, administers and supports O365/Exchange
  • Provides network, systems and security knowledge and support in a large scale Federal IT Infrastructure Services environment
  • Implements and support enterprise account maintenance services including setting up administrator and service accounts
  • Serves as the Tier 3 expert for the program interacting with engineers, technicians, service providers and product specialists
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required

Job Requirements

1) 3+ years directly related experience providing Tier 3 support to end users

2) Required Certification: CCNA, HDI

3) Other Certification: CompTIA A+, CCNP, MCSE

4) Significant hands-on experience with ITSM Toolsets, Operating Systems, administering Active Directory, O365/Exchange Administration
