Job Description

The Integration Management Office (IMO) provides strategic support to the enhancements of operations, processes, systems and integration activities in support of New GDIT. Excellent project management is key to the successful delivery of integration projects, delivering results and achieving high customer satisfaction. We are looking for a junior/mid-level Project Manager, who will work on projects independently, under minimal supervision of a Senior Manager.

This position is perfect for someone who has strong project management experience and client relationship building skills. The right candidate enjoys juggling and prioritizing many different types of tasks at one time, excels in a team environment, and is flexible, proactive, and a great communicator. From a Project Management perspective, the ability to dive into the details, support the IMO delivery team and get the job done is key. The successful candidate will have strong communication and relationship building capabilities and a proven track record of success in managing small to medium sized projects. 

The Project Manager responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, execute, and implement multiple projects concurrently to deliver intended business outcomes (on time, on budget, and within scope) and work products throughout the lifecycle of these project.
  • Work with the functional project teams to mitigate any issues or risks and to secure required resources.
  • Utilize and ensure excellent communications with employees at all levels
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing project tasks / deliverables.
  • Experience managing communication using a variety of media and forums.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in a variety of jobs/roles in their work history
  • Interest and capability to develop professional skillset in organizational development/performance, human capital, training, and /or process improvement related disciplines.
