Job Description

  • Fast pace environment involving the monitoring and troubleshooting of Microsoft Exchange 2010
  • Familiar with troubleshooting Microsoft Outlook application and mail profiles
  • Supports multiple domains
  • Verification of successful nightly Microsoft Exchange backups
  • Familiar with Microsoft Forefront Identity Management is a plus
  • Performing service and replication checks across Enterprise domain controllers
  • Sets up administrator and service accounts
  • Maintains system documentation
  • Ensure integrity of Microsoft Exchange server databases
  • Performs mailbox restores
  • Performs email message tracking
  • Configures Site & Services
  • Creates DNS records
  • Maintain server certificate
  • Familiar with Microsoft Lync
  • Evaluate with ACAS & STIG scans
  • Provides advice and training to end-users
  • Participates in special projects as required

Job Requirements

5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.

  • DNS
  • Exchange 2010 server management
  • Windows server 2008/2012 troubleshooting and management
  • Extensive experience working within a Windows environment
  • Experience upgrading, installing, patching and hardening systems
  • Strong understanding of servers and experience with VMWare is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-Starter
  • Manage and configure Windows server environments.
  • Automate tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Implement Active Directory and Local Group policies to enforce security requirements and standards
  • Position will require on call support and occasional night and weekend work  

Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI and Polygraph.

Must possess appropriate current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; either CompTIA Security+ CE OR CCNA-Security. CompTIA Security+ CE is the preferred certification. In addition must attain the required DoD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) Certification within six (6) months of Hire Date.

As part of your role/function on the program; you will be granted privileged user access. Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny as a direct result of the significant responsibilities placed upon them. Please be aware that because of these critical duties; you will be subject to additional IT system monitoring; and supervisory evaluation to ensure continuous adherence to Privileged User processes and procedures. Privileged Users are subject to a zero tolerance policy for security violations.
