Job Description

Senior Network Engineer 
Ft. Belvoir, VA 
Active TS/SCI Required

Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks.

Job functions/Responsibilities include:

Maintain three major Networks JWICS, SIPRNET, OSIS. 

Manages the usage and performance of TNCC voice, video and/or data communications networks. 

Coordinate with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. 

Work with end-users, train if necessary on relevant Intelligence platforms/software.

Troubleshoots and configure hardware/software within network, make sure that users are kept in loop as to status. 

Develop and implement network protocol, standards and processes, ensure team understands, develop methodologies to help coordinate any training that may be required. 

Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. 

Provide on-site Hardware servicing and Maintenance of system equipment. 

Design and install cabling and wiring diagrams for customer building. 

Install workstation and Servers inside SCIFs. 

Install Tandberg VTCs and Monitors system.

In addition following functions may also be required/performed by chosen individual within this role:

Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks.

1. Analyzes voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.

2. Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments.

3. Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.

4. Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.

5. May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.

6. May perform network administration duties.

7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

8. Participates in special projects as required.


Job Requirements

2-5 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design.
