With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. 

The Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) Battle Captain provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to daily, global operations and assigned projects. This fast paced position is directly responsible for managing the enterprise operations center, supervising up to ten personnel, both exempt and non-exempt and may include one or more subordinate supervisors.

Other Responsibilities: 

  1. The Battle Captain is responsible for assuring availability of the mission network, while simultaneously being responsible for oversight of all enterprise notification procedures and processes. As a key decision maker for operations, Battle Captains direct the completion of network and systems analysis taskings, standardization and security assessments, monitoring, alerts, notifications and reporting of operational briefs to senior government program management.
  2. Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned project or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
  3. Supervises assigned staff, including subordinate supervisors.
  4. Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
  5. May also perform high level technical services on assigned tasks.
  6. Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.
  7. Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
  8. Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other program staff on behalf of the client.
  9. Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
  10. Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
  11. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  12. Participates in special projects as required.

Shift Work Required



  1. 5+ years of related experience, including supervisory experience.
  2. IAT Level 2 required (Sec+ce)
  3. Effective management, administrative and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Able to work in a 24/7 rotating shift environment.
  6. TS/SCI Required
