Job Description

  • Builds and codes applications and/or models using ColdFusion.
  • Experience working on Javascript / jQuery
  • A solid grasp of database programming skills, primarily with MS SQL. Ability to write queries, stored procedures, triggers. Experience with SQL Performance tuning is a MUST.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – this is critical as they will be leading the development on a critical system
  • Must have excellent understanding of systems architecture, database, websites, security etc.
  • Experience with versioning tools like GIT.
  • Experience with other development languages like C#, Python or Java is a plus.
  • Write high quality, well-tested, extensible and scalable code
  • Evaluate the short- and long-term implications of every implementation decision
  • Plans, develops, tests, and documents highly complex applications programs.
  • Generates new code and corrects, converts, and/or modifies existing code to meet specifications.
  • Prepares detailed specifications from which code will be written.
  • Confers with end-users to analyze specified methods and procedures, identify problems, and document specific requirements.
  • Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as users manuals, product specifications, and training materials.
  • Performs a variety of testing procedures on assigned products, analyzes test results, and corrects problems.
  • Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel.
  • Performs research on emerging technologies to determine impact on application execution.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced programmers, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
  • May serve as a technical team or task leader.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

8-10 years of directly related computer programming experience.

Must have active Secret Clearance


-Must have experience working with CFCs.

-Must be able to program in pure tag-based CFML (no CFSCRIPT or frameworks).

-Understanding of OOP.

-Experience with jQuery or JavaScript.

-Experience with HTML5 and CSS.

-Experience in AJAX and Bootstrap a plus.

-Experience with relational databases (SQL).

-Intermediate knowledge of responsive design.

-Maintain existing codebase.

-Work independently to determine client requirements.

-Working effectively in a collaborative and innovative team-oriented environment.

-Excellent attention to detail.

-Communicate with the client on a day-to-day basis while managing daily activities
