Job Description

Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. Supervises at least 25 employees

The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) organizationally provides contractor support to the Program Manager for the Army Research Lab (ARL) IT Support Services contract (ITSS).  Aligned to the CIO located in Adelphi, MD.  They shall serve as a technical resource and project manager providing support to ARL customers and CIO directives.

Job Requirements



 Required qualifications:

  • Active Secret (S) Security Clearance.
  • Experience in leadership of complex tasks, including review of work products for correctness, compliance with industry best practices, DoD standards, and Army standards.
  • Experience planning, directing, coordinating, and managing the contractor’s proposed methodologies and approach for a project or program similar in scope and complexity in a Defense acquisition environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in direct support of Army, DoD and the IC
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in providing IT services, Enterprise Service Desk, IT operations and project management (preferably in the realm of technology refresh).

Preferred qualifications:

  • An active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP).
