Job Description

Provides military subject matter expertise to assigned programs.

1. Provides advanced analytical and technical support to projects involving training, tactical/operational documentation, military systems design or other efforts requiring military operations expertise.

2. Researches, identifies, and makes recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.
Gathers, processes, and analyzes operational data.
3. Assists with the testing and development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs.
4. Identifies and recommends emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes.
5. Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
6. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
7. May serve as technical team or task leader.
8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
9. Participates in special projects as required.

Participate in the framework design and develop Theater-specific scenarios for MRX/CPX. Prepare the Master Scenario Event List (MESL) for MRX/CPX. Establish formal processes (i.e., meetings, in-progress reviews, site visits, MSAs, etc.) to ensure exercise technical architecture is synchronized with the operational/ training architecture. Build and maintain a library of scenarios/ archive information for future exercise use. This library will be available electronically to all MCED personnel and SOMTC government personnel.

The framework model includes Global Combatant Command Area of Responsibility information; desired training unit Command Structures; Operation Rules of Engagement (ROE); and relevant Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) training event attributes. We use the exercise framework model to produce products to deliver a final solution tailored to best support the unit commander’s training requirements. Products developed for the exercise framework include scenario development electronic files, simulation architecture diagrams, Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) databases, After Action Review (AAR) material, Operations Orders / Plans, and a training environment that allows integration of joint mission command systems, joint effects, fires, and cyber-enabled operations.

Job Requirements

10-15 years of related experience supporting military operations.

Experience researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing Mission Rehearsal and Command Post Exercises (MRX/CPX) desired, MEL 1 Preferred. IA, AT I, OPSEC.

Functional area expertise desired in one or more of the following areas. Red Cell Planner. White Cell Planner. OPNS Law/Interagency Planner. Fires Targeting Planner. Air/ Personnel Recovery Planner. Logistics/Medical Planner .

Current DoD Top Secret security clearance required.
