Job Description

Scrum Master for an experienced development team transitioning to an agile environment.  In addition, will provide project management, as needed, for software releases and operational task management. The successful candidate will be an accomplished IT Scrum Master, preferably with CMS Project Management experience.  The candidate must be capable of working in a dynamic environment, ensuring the timely delivery of quality work products using both Agile and waterfall methodologies.  Strong communication skills and experience meeting and presenting to client required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan time boxed sprint planning and execution
  • Schedule and conduct daily scrums, backlog reviews, and retrospectives with team
  • Gather & disseminate project information on a regular basis, documenting team agreements, sprint plans, release plans, and retrospectives
  • Create an environment of team spirit and excitement around what is being delivered
  • Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate appropriately as needed
  • Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
  • Conduct meetings to gather information needed to complete the team’s deliveries
  • Support other team capability area’s and quality assurance activities
  • Perform general project management and coordination tasks as needed
  • Train new team members on agile development using Scrum methodology
  • Participates in special projects as required

Job Requirements

Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of direct Scrum Master/Agile experience
  • Highly organized and a team leader
  • Excellent communicator experienced with meeting and providing presentations to client
  • Fundamentals of iterative development
  • Translating requirements into user stories
  • Fundamentals of software development and integration processes and procedures
  • Incremental delivery and the value of metrics
  • Backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition
  • Ticketing systems 

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Jira, Confluence
  • SharePoint, MS Office (Including MS Project)
  • Agile projects working with CMS
