Job Description

Support Instructional Designer requirements for the Foundational Learning Directorate for the Defense Acquisition University, onsite at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Designs and develops instructional approaches and interactive courseware to meet training requirements in addition to a variety of instructional designer tasks including application of Kirkpatrick and Blooms.

Designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements.

Conducts analysis of training requirements and media requirements.

Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials.

Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.

Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.

May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced personnel.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

Participates in special projects as required.

Performs independent validation and verification (IV&V) reviews using performance standards and checklists provided.

Job Requirements

8-10 years of related instructional development experience

Must be prepared to work onsite (DAU - Fort Belvoir) in high tempo environment that requires flexibility, ability to multitask, and works well in a collaborative environment. Must be a critical thinker that can work independently and creatively when required.
