GDIT has an opportunity for a Senior Financial (PCO) Analyst to work in our San Diego office.

You will provide financial analysis support to the business, including but not limited to cost accounting, revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, at risk coordination, forecasting, variance analysis, invoice preparation/review and cash flow management for our Defense Business Unit.

This role interfaces with project managers and business leaders. 

  • Review and understand contract terms, and contribute effectively to the job setup and closeout processes
  • Provide data and financial analysis in support of external customer requirements, Group/Corporate data calls and audit requests
  • Escalate and resolve key financial issues, and produce accurate and intuitive reports as necessary
  • Review subcontractor timesheets and resolve payment and reconciliation
  • Provide valuable input to monthly and quarterly internal reports and analyses
  • Focus on meaningful and material data points in Project Review meetings and other data presentations that shed light on execution quality and improvement opportunities
  • Act proactively and shows initiative with regard to risk assessment, escalation and mitigation

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Superb Excel skills to include pivot table abilities, basic formula construction, averages and analysis
  • Experience working in a government - contracting environment
  •  Willingness to work in a high-pressure and complex environment
  • 10 years of related experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree. OR a Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of related experience
  • US citizenship is a requirement for the Federal Government

  • Experience with Costpoint and Cognos
