Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking highly motivated technical professionals who are eager to play a major role in IT transformation at Government agencies in the aviation and other transportation fields.

This is a telework position. Onsite support will be required as requested by customer.

The Senior Systems Analyst will perform the following:

  • Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with program/customer system architecture standards
  • Analyzes performance issues, performs root cause analyses, and develops solutions to meet performance standards and customer expectations
  • Guides and recommends process improvement ideas/suggestions to program leadership to facilitate continuous program performance excellence
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
  • Develops, implements, supports and leads enterprise risk/issue management including the processes for timely identifying, assessing, prioritizing, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting on key risks/issues that could impact the Federal Agency’s ability to achieve its mission or goals
  • Performs quality assurance review of service delivery support items – ticket resolutions, newly developed solutions
  • Troubleshoots and provides technical support and solutions to users
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required

Job Requirements

1) 8 – 10 years of directly related computer systems analysis and/or programming experience

2) 5 – 7 years of directly related experience supporting large Federal IT Service Delivery programs as a Senior Systems Analyst

3) MCSE certification required

4) Significant experience applying critical thinking and analytical skills to manage enterprise risks and solve complex problems (root cause analysis, tactical and strategic impact determination, development of pragmatic corrective actions/resolutions) 

5) Experience analyzing engineering solutions, isolating sources of problems, recommending reconfiguration and implementation of new solutions to improve performance

6) Demonstrated experience of successfully managing and executing multiple projects simultaneously and managing to cost and schedule
