Job Description

Performs tasks in general or specialized accounting functions in Accounting or Financial Services.

1. Prepares, analyzes, reviews, verifies, and reconciles vouchers, journal entries, accounting classifications, and various other accounting/financial statements, records, and reports.

2. Experience with cash handling, or using cash disbursement fund.

3. Prior accounting experience with, or an acument for posting/reconciliation of entries in financial ledgers.

4. Experience with providing financial guidance and support, including finanical voucher preparation.

5. Thorough knowledg of customer regulations, policy and office level specific guidance and how applied to staff and contractor payments.

6. Experience with providing travel accounting support, calculation of travel per diem, and application of travel regulations and policies.

7. Experience with transactional processing in the customer's financial system.

8. Ability to ensure management, co-workers and stakeholders are kept informed appropriately.

9. Establishes and maintains accurate, detailed financial records.

10. Analyzes financial reports and records, and makes recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.

11. Participates in the development of accounting systems, methods, procedures, and controls.

12. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations, and business units.

13. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced Accounting staff.

14. Maintains current knowledge of relevant accounting regulations, policies, and procedures.

15. Participates in audits and special projects as required.

Job Requirements

5-8 years of related accounting experience.
