Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Senior Principal Functional Analyst who will be a pivotal member of the CCS Team supporting both internal (within the project team) and/or external (customer facing) projects.  This candidate will primarily support business process redesign using best practice methodologies that will challenge users and customers to rethink how business is currently being done and to come up with innovative, leaner and likely new processes that provide a positive enhancement to the process.

  • Capture requirements, Analyzes “as is” and Define “to be” utilizing best practices process improvement techniques.
  • Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.
  • Performs functional modeling based on requirements analysis.
  • Develops new process/systems or updates existing systems/processes to meet client needs.
  • Serves as advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.
  • Generates recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.
  • Identifies emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
  • Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, workflow and training materials utilizing MS Office Suite, Visio &/or other workflow & documentation/presentation products.
  • Assists with functional testing of various systems/processes.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Serves as technical team or task lead.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • 10-15 years of related experience, progressing to senior level experience.
  • Process Improvement Certification Required: LSS; ITIL Expert; etc.
  • PMP Preferred.
  • ITIL Preferred.
  • Candidate MUST be a US Citizen to be considered for this position.
