Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking a Subcontracts Administrator Advisor to join our team. In this role you will conducts negotiation and administration of government subcontracts.

Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Develops, negotiates and administers assigned NDAs, TAs, Subcontracts, and other related agreements in accordance with client requirements and GDIT policies and procedures.
  2. Leads the subcontract capture process which includes pricing and scheduling strategy, communicating with the subcontractor teammates regarding data calls, assessing the responses received, and co-ordinating communications between subcontract stakeholders.
  3. Ensures timely processing of subcontract negotiations for fair and reasonable pricing as well as terms and conditions with assistance from management and input from relevant stakeholders.
  4. Creates and maintains compliant audit files in accordance with customer requirements and GDIT policies and procedures.
  5. Participates in problem resolution related to subcontract requirements by providing advice based on subcontract interpretation.
  6. Serves as liaison and facilitator between the relevant subcontract stakeholders.
  7. Coordinates with program managers and all matrixed organizations to ensure subcontract requirements are fulfilled.
  8. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced subcontract administrators, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
  9. Creates and reviews subcontract team files for audit compliance with customer and corporate policies.
  10. Maintains heightened knowledge of relevant subcontract procedures and practices.
  11. Participates and offers opinions on proposal and program strategy
  12. Initiates and maintains an extensive network of communication with industry peers.
  13. Manages special projects as required.

To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
  • Professional certification (CPCM/CFCM) preferred.
  • 8-10 years of related experience in contracts administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in subcontract administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned subcontracts, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS.
  • Extensive administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to operate and negotiate independently
  • Developing effective research and presentation techniques
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Advanced skill level with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and SharePoint.
