Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking highly motivated technical professionals who are eager to play a major role in IT transformation at Government agencies in the aviation and other transportation fields.

The Systems Administrator supports Operating System (OS) image development, testing, deployment and maintenance as well as complex application development and support.

The Systems Administrator will perform the following:

  • Analyzes, plans, designs, develops, builds, tests, deploys and maintains various OS (Windows, Mac, and others) images
  • Designs, develops, codes, debugs and implements highly complex applications programs
  • Generates new code and corrects, converts, and/or modifies existing code to meet specifications
  • Defines, documents, and analyzes software/hardware design as well as Customer test requirements
  • Works with stakeholders to clearly understand and define test cases and user acceptance criteria that meet the Customer’s mission requirements
  • Develops and maintains test plans that address unit, functional, system, integration, regression, user acceptance and operational acceptance testing
  • Prepares test environment, test data, test plans, testing tools/technology and test scripts to support quality enterprise system testing
  • Analyzes test execution data, captures lessons learned, develops and recommends improvements
  • Participates in and supports these testing levels - unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, enterprise system testing, user acceptance testing, operational acceptance testing
  • Engages in root cause analyses to include the reproduction and documentation of defective test information
  • Supports technical program reviews to include Technical Readiness Reviews (TRR), Operational Readiness Reviews
  • Understands and estimates resource requirements needed to support image and application development and support efforts
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis
  • Desired Certification: ITILv3, Scrum Master
  • Hands-on experience with test case writing, test case scripting, test case execution
  • Hands-on experience performing independent verification and validation (IV&V) analysis
  • Considerable understanding and demonstration of Agile Scrum Testing Methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience with the following: System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) server 2012
  • Knowledge and experience with DeployStudio
  • Programming experience with C, C#, Python, PowerShell, Visual Basic.NET
