Job Description

What does ORR do? The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) transfers unaccompanied children from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) into the care and custody of a safe sponsor. By doing this, we are able to help children in need become integrated members of American society.

GDIT seeks a Network Technician resource for its Case Coordination program (ORRCC). The position is part of PMO for the ORRCC program and will report to PM or PMO designee.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
  • Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardwarProvides software and system troubleshooting and support.
  • Provides technical support and training to end-users.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations.

 Additionally:

  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in information system troubleshooting and support.
  • Knowledge of related hardware and software.
