Job Description

Primary responsibility is to support USN Training Manager and plan, track, and execute training schedules, trainers individual development plans, trainer certifications and qualifications, and liaison with ATRC staff in support of training schedules for officer and enlisted training at ATRCS)

1. Provides expert level support of planning and coordinating training schedules.

2. Establishes, reviews, and tracks IDPs for all TEAM GDIT trainers at ATRC.

3. Primary Representative of TEAM GDIT at ATRC PBFT.

4. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities in support of trainer certifications and qualifications.

5. Maintains records of training activities; participant progress; and program effectiveness.

6. Provides work leadership to lower level employees; including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs; and may have supervisory responsibilities.

7. May serve as technical team or task lead.

8. Conducts research into new training; educational; and multimedia technologies.

9. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

10. Participates in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

Must have seven (7) years of experience in Surface Warfare training management including responsibility for coordinating and administering training utilizing technical training equipment, tactical and emulation based simulations and computer/web based courseware. Of the seven years, five (5) years of experience as an instructor in a Naval Training Environment including management of instructor qualifications and instructor task planning.

Past experience as trainer/instructor in support of CSCS/ATRC is a significant plus. .
