Job Description

The successful candidate will manage the receipt, prioritization, assignment, tracking, and satisfaction of all language screening and translation requirements. He or she will use the Harmony/TED database and other language workflow tools at the direction at the government. Along with the APMCE, this position supports the oversight and management of the local Harmony/Theater Exploitation Database (TED) and its integration with National Harmony data base, platforms, and other elements. The successful candidate will also support internal integration of linguist workflow and operations with the requirements management system, and other applications and systems as required. He or she will ensure all eligible translation requests are submitted into workflow within 24 hours of receipt, and will have supervisory responsibility for the Workflow Team and their responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Candidates must have 5 years of experience as a linguist and 5 years managing DOMEX linguist workflow operations. In addition, candidates need two years of experience using human language technology tools, with a preference for those who have used the Harmony/TED database. Candidates must have an ILR 2/2 rating in reading/listening in a foreign language, plus ILR 3+ rating in English. Testing can be performed after selection. Candidates must be proficient in MS Office, comfortable briefing senior Government personnel. Candidates must be able to multi-task, organize, and adapt to changing & evolving requirements.
