Are you an enthusiastic professional interested in supporting our workplace accommodation team? GDIT is looking for a Senior HR Analyst to support a centralized workplace accommodation process to respond to request for an accommodation based on a medical or religious need. Responsibilities include coordinating, administering, and implementing the accommodation workflow process and procedures, identifying accommodations needed, assisting employees and participating in the interactive process, partnering with stakeholders to ensure accommodation requests are thoroughly reviewed and accommodations are implemented, Developing and delivering training, and identifying community partners and vendors provide accommodation tools and best practices.

You will perform the following job responsibilities

  • Work with employees to review their requests for a workplace accommodation.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for the workplace accommodation process. This includes facilitating the interactive process, identifying action plans, making timely determinations, and implementing accommodation requests.
  • Manage the accommodation tool working closely with IT and other stakeholders to ensure the tool is easily accessed by employees and functioning as expected throughout each step of the process.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation and ensure timely review of all requests.
  • Periodically monitor accommodations to ensure they remain reasonable and effective.
  • Proactively assess risk to business and use sound judgement to promptly escalate potential concerns.
  • Prepare and delivery workplace accommodation training.
  • Prepare reports and respond to audits.
  • Provide support for investigations regarding workplace accommodations.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, senior leaders and managers to report the status or accommodations and identify trends.
  • Coach Managers to engage with employees of all abilities and to navigate specific worksite challenges.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with industry and community leaders to advance awareness of people with disabilities in the workplace.
  • Engage with the GDIT Ability ERG for best practices.
  • Maintain current knowledge of related leave and ADAAA laws and record-keeping requirements.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should have 5-8 years of related human resources experience
  • Knowledge of the ADAAA and experience with the interactive process
  • Strong interviewing, analytic and critical thinking skills. 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders and networks to include candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
